Keep in mind these are just general recommendations, you will need to alter your rune and stat builds based on what content you want to use this monster for and what team you are using him with.
•The Dark Battle Mammoth, Basalt is one of the best ToA monsters because of his 3rd skill's great CC capabilities.
•His 1st skill provokes!
•He is a tanky bruiser.
•He has an AoE attack bar reducer.
•Basalt low base speed makes him slow.
•His 1st skill scales off attack which doesn't make sense since he's a Defense monster.

GB12 (3/10): Basalt could be used here in early teams, however, there are better monsters.
DB12 (3/10): He serves the same role in DB12 as he does in GB12.
NB12 (0/10): He doesn't have any multi hits to break through the boss' shield.
ToA (10/10): His crowd control makes him ideal for all the stages here.
Rift of Worlds (0/10): He doesn't offer anything to be useful here.
Labyrinth (7/10): Basalt has the same role here as he does in ToA.
Dimensional Hole (7/10): He can be used in the elemental restriction stage and star limit stage.
Arena (2/10): You mainly want AoE cleave teams to farm Arena.
Guild Wars (7/10): He can be used for CC and tank monster in Guild content.
RTA (3/10): He's usable in the early game until you can get better monsters.
