Keep in mind these are just general recommendations, you will need to alter your rune and stat builds based on what content you want to use this monster for and what team you are using him with.
If you’re looking for detailed rune and stat builds you should take a look at SWMaster’s Rune Farming Guide – I have been a member of their site since I was new to Summoners War and would highly recommend it to all players.
DANIEL BUILDS / STRATEGY
Daniel Build Tips
In the early game you can build him as a nuke with pure damage dealing runes.
As you progress into the late game you'll transition him to a bruiser build to get the most use out of him. Give him more tankiness, survivabilty, and turns to not only deal damage but keep the threat monsters at bay.

•Daniel is a great damage dealer because he offers more than just damage for RTA.
•Not only does he increases the enemies skill cooldown but also decreases yours.
•His 3rd skill is AoE, strips ATK bar, and does additional damage.
•Monsters that put up immunity like Fran, Lulu, or Chloe will make him less effective.
GB12 (8/10): Attack bar reduction is great for Giants B12 to prevent the boss from wiping your team.
DB12 (8/10): He has a similar role in Dragons B12 in GB12.
NB12 (1/10): He doesn't have enough multi hits to break through the boss' shield.
SF10 (8/10): His ATK bar pushback is good to keep the boss from moving in Steel Fortress B10.
PC10 (0/10): ATK bar pushback is not effective in Punisher Crypt B10.
ToA (5/10): He his good for boss stages (10 to stop them from moving.
Rift of Worlds (0/10): He is not recommended here.
Labyrinth (6/10): He can be used in some niche stages to stop the enemies from moving.
Dimensional Hole (7/10): He is good in the elemental restriction stages.
Arena (6/10): He can be used in a slow cleave team with his ATK bar pushback.
Guild Wars (9/10): His ability to disrupt speed turns makes him great for Offense and Defense teams.
RTA (9/10): Daniel is a strong damage dealing unit here that does more than just dish out big damage. His ATK bar pushback and skill increase/reduction makes him a very viable option to counter many comps.
